RED PEPPER: A History The Portuguese first introduced
Red Pepper to India. Cultivation gradually picked up and it is
now a major cash crop of India. Every state has a Red Pepper crop,
due to favorable climatic and soil conditions prevailing in the
country.
The Red Pepper harvest commences during January and February and
huge quantities of the crop come to the market during March, April
and May.
In India, the total area of cultivation is approximately 8,92,200 hectares and the total production is approximately 9,21,300
tons.
In India we have a wide variety of Red Pepper grown. The
following varieties offered by us are With Stem, Stemless, Ground and Crushed. Mild
